The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

Very comfortable hotel. The bell and the conceirge service was excellent. Service was generally very good. Breakfast area wasn’t so good but the lobby bar was exceptional. We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and his best friend, at this hotel. We stayed here last year Dec 2024.

Tremendous STAFF they are TOP NOTCH!! Amazing staff really makes an experience be luxurious. Starts with Scott & Robert greeting you at your car & assisting with your luggage. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The front desk staff are welcoming also. After leaving the hotel, my Mom realized she left envelopes of money in the room. She’s 82 & slower. This was for our cruise leaving today. $2000 was left in room 715 on 12/17/2025. I called the hotel, the gentleman put me on hold, I was outside at the cruise terminal, it was very hard to hear him, but he could hear me. The money was turned into security from housekeeping . I rushed back from the cruise terminal, went to the front desk & they had security greet me with the money. We all know times are tough, this housekeeper & others involved truly brings faith that there are still people with integrity & heart. I left her a reward, but I would like to personally thank her & the manager I spoke to. All involved deserve acknowledgment for their greatness. Highly recommend this hotel.

I felt compelled to write a review for our stay at the Ritz solely because of the service. The front desk and guest relations department made our stay so special. We got married while staying at the Ritz and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time. Special shout out to Rose, Elena, and Jamie Ann for all of your hard work. It was MUCH appreciated. Also, the room we had was gorgeous. The breakfast room service was 10/10, and the late night bar was a fabulous time with great drinks. This is the second time staying here and we will definitely return in the future.

The room had some problems but they fixed them quickly when they could. The room was large and clean. Location is great as it is very close to Chinatown and Union Square. They have a large gym. The building is fancy and cool. Friendly, amazing service.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the team at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco for making our wedding extra special. We didn’t have to stay here since we live in Oakland and could’ve just driven across the bridge for our big day but choosing to stay the night before was one of the best decisions we made. It completely eased the stress of wedding day traffic and allowed us to fully enjoy the moment. A special thank-you to Rose and Elena from the Guest Relations team for their thoughtful care, Matthai from the Club Lounge for being so kind, attentive, and wonderful to talk to, and George from the Front Desk for his warm and welcoming energy. The valet, doormen and concierge teams also went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. What a truly beautiful hotel and an incredible experience overall. The best customer service I have ever recieved at a hotel, they were so accommodating to me traveling with a 2.5 year old and 8 month old baby. They even provided a bassinet, microwave and refrigerator for baby food, and a great kids program. The on site restaurants were so good we rarely left the hotel to eat. Each and every staf member were willing to go above and beyond. Simply the best….

What a magical place. Every employee seemed happy and ready to make our stay as special as they possibly could. The restaurant had amazing food and the waiter… Ray… was perfection. The room was from a dream. I cannot tell you how well appointed, clean and comfortable we were in this space. The place was impeccably clean, well stocked and comfortable. This place and these ppl made our 40th anniversary pre Hawaiian cruise hotel experience a 100/10 and left me speechless. I LOVED this place. Unfortunately, upon our return the Ritz did not have availability. We were forced to stay at the Fairmont of which I hated. It’s the ritz all the way !! If I coulda given you a thousand stars I would have. WAY TO RUN A HIGH END ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

Great stay in club level. We really enjoyed the lunch options and exceedingly attentive, welcoming service in the lounge. Everyone we encountered made us feel at home. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Afternoon tea in the bar was also wonderful. The food was delicious, fresh, and filling. Our server was wonderfully warm and friendly.
